Arlene's Grocery is proud to offer musicians the best backline in NYC. Marshall, Fender, Ampeg, TC Electronic, Hartke, Slingerland... Relax and leave your gear at home!

We've upgraded our house sound system to Turbosound. A Crest CA18 powers Turbosound TSW-718 subwoofers delivering 1,900 Watts of devastating low-end power per side, while a QSC RMX4050 provides gobs of headroom to a pair of Turbosound THL-2 tops. Arlene's Grocery delivers arena-sized sound in a small club!

VIDEO PROJECTION—

  • We have a projector and DVD/VHS deck, and a small portable screen that is roughly 4ft x 5ft.

  • Playing a video before a set is not a problem as the screen is set up in front of the stage and easily struck, before the band plays.

  • It is not possible to show a video and have a band playing at the same time - the stage is too small.

  • It is not possible to project to the backdrop/backwall of the stage as the the back of the stage is black with a large arlene's grocery logo permantly installed.

  • In order to project video to the back wall while a band is playing the following needs to happen.

  • First you need to install a white backdrop along the backwall of the stage.

  • The white backdrop must be installed before the band plays and removed if not used for the entire night.

  • The stage lighting will have to be dark to see what is being projected

  • Finally, there is a minimum video tech fee of $50 per hr.
